Character Profiles

When I was planning the ideas for each character, I originally only had three characters, Zak, Olan and Alex, but decided to add in a fourth character as only having the original three made it so any scene included in the opening couple of minutes didn't work if the characters were separated as no realistic dialogue could happen with the one character who would have to be on their own. Adding in this fourth character meant that at no point were any of the characters alone and there would always be two characters who could exchange dialogue.

The characters appearances are heavily based on the actors playing them, so they don't look unnatural while playing them. This meant that the actors could wear similar clothing to what they'd normally wear, except it was made to look dirty, ripped or blood stained, to fit with the apocalypse situation and setting of the film.

The personalities of the characters are still based on the actors playing them, but a lot more loosely and adjusted to fit a more typical character type in for a group of friends in a survival film.

These character types are:

  • The leading character
  • The sarcastic/witty character
  • The lookout/maintenance character
  • The laid back character

The characters personalities my film have been adjusted to fit these typical movie/survival character roles to make them a lot more interesting and lovable.
